Commentary

Conjectured father: Rudolf I, king of Burgundy.
Conjectured mother: Willa.
This origin of Willa has been conjectured on numerous occasions [e.g., Duchesne (1619), 145; Poupardin (1901), 211; Manteyer (1908), 122; Mathieu (2000), 173, 183]. The main reasons for suggesting this would be her Burgundian origin (see above) and onomastics, the uncommon name Willa also being the probable name of Rudolf's wife. Although plausible enough, this conjecture lacks proof.
