Lemuel Williams
of Hardin county, Ohio, d. 1906.

Date of birth or baptism: 3 May, 18231824.
Place of birth or baptism: Logan county, Ohio.
The History of Hardin County, Ohio states that he was born in Logan co., OH on 3 May 1824 [Hist. Hardin co., OH 1883, 946], and the 1900 census gives May 1824 [1900 cen., Hardin co., OH, ED85, p. 9]. On the other hand, the date calculated from his age at death is 3 May 1823, and his gravestone also gives 1823 as the year of birth (see below). Other censuses make him 27 in 1850 [1850 cen., Logan co., OH, 7], 36 in 1860 [1860 cen., Hardin co., OH, 349], 46 in 1870 [1870 cen., Hardin co., OH, 385v], and 57 in 1880 [1880 cen., Hardin co., OH, 96A]. Based on this evidence, it would be hard to chose between 1823 and 1824.

Date of death: 23 August 1906.
Place of death: Hardin county, Ohio.
Place of burial: Hale Cemetery, Hardin county, Ohio.
