Richard Wescott
of Wethersfield and Fairfield, Connecticut, .

Richard Wescott settled in Wethersfield by 1636, where he bought Samuel Clark's homestead [FOOF 1: 660]. He served as a soldier in the Pequot War in 1637 [Hist. Anc. Wethersfield, 1: 311]. In 1645, he sold his land in Wethersfield to John Stoddard and removed to Fairfield [FOOF 1: 660]. He died there before 11 March 1649/50 [ibid.].
