Anderson's history of Waterbury gives her maiden name as Senior [Waterbury, CT to 1895, 1: Appendix, 113], but I have not seen any primary evidence for that name. Her eldest daughter was also named Mary. Has a reference to "Mary Richardson senior" somehow been misinterpreted as a maiden name at some point?
