(2) Ann _____, bur. Ebberston, 21 April 1780.
[Ebberston PR]

In addition to the marriage of a Thomas Consit to Mary Esthill, the parish registers of Ebberston show the marriage of a Thomas Consit to Jane Atkinsen on 13 February 1738[/9]. An older Thomas Consitt (Conceit) had married Jane Dean at Ebberston on 1 June 1708. On 20 march 1733[/4], Jane Consit, wife of Thomas, was buried at Ebberston, and the elder Thomas was buried there on 2 October 1753 [Ebberston PR]. On 26 December 1754, the parish registers of nearby Brompton show the marriage of John Hay yeoman to Jane Consit, widow [Brompton PR]. This was quite possibly Jane (Atkinsen) Consitt, which would make her the widow of the elder Thomas Consitt, and thus by process of elimination would make Mary Esthill the wife of the Thomas Consitt who died in 1783. Since Thomas had another wife named Ann, whose marriage date and maiden name are unknown, it is not clear which wife was the mother of Thomas Consitt's children.

Children (by which wife unknown):
All three children are mentioned in Thomas Consitt's will (transcribed below), and the baptisms of both sons appear in the parish registers [Ebberston PR].

Edward Consitt, bp. Ebberston, 11 June 1742, bur there 30 January 1831;
m. Ebberston, 23 July 1776, Ellis Smallwood, bur. Ebberston, 27 August 1779.
