In the Name of God Amen I Edward Consit of Bickley in the parish of Eberston in the North Ryding of the County of York Taylor, Being in weakness of Body, but in perfect mind & memory & understanding do make & ordain this my Last will & Testament in manner & form Following, Imp: I bequeath my soul to God who gave it & my Body to be decently buryed att the discretion of my Executor Hereafter named, & as for the Temporal Estate which god hath pleased to Bestow upon me I give & Bequeath in manner & form Following. Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Consit Twenty pounds to be paid within one year after my discease, otherways Lawfull interest for the same Also one bedsteade & all furniture Belonging to it in which I Lie on one Trunk one Brass pot, one Iron pot four puter diskes three puter plates one puter Candlestick one Brass Candlestick, one pair of Linnin Sheets one Cubbard standing in the fore house. Item I give unto my son & daughter Richard & Mary Smallwood one shilling a piece & to their three Children one shilling a piece & all the Rest & Residue of my Estate which I shall die possessed on I Give & Bequeath unto my son Thomas Consit whom I make Sole Executor of this my Last will & Testament. In Witness Hereof I have set my hand & seal this twenty eighth day of March and in the year of our Lord god one Thousand seven hundred & fourty one Signed sealed published & declared in the presence of Edward Dickinson John Richardson.
