In the name of God Amen the xxith day of october Anno domini 1669 I Robert Carlill of Sawdon in Pickering Lyth within the County of yorke yeoman sicke in bodye but in minde and remembrance perfect and whole God be thanked for the same doe make & ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner & forme Followeinge. First I give & bequeath my soule into the hand of Allmightie God my maker, and to Jesus Christ my Saviour & Redeemer by whome and through whose most precious bloodshedding for me & all mankinde I trust to have Remission for all my sinns and my bodye to be buried in the parrish Church earth of Brompton at the discretion of my friend[s]. Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Carlill my sonne xxxs and to Richard Carlill my sonne xxxs out of the house and Lands which I now dwell on which William Carlill my sonne and heire shall pay unto them when they they [sic] shall come to the age of one and twentie yeares. Item my debts paide my funerall expences and Legacies discharged and my body honestlt buried, I make Thomas Carlill and Robert Carlill my sonnes Jointe and sole executors of this my last will and Testament these being wittnesses Richard Casse Thomas Carlill. In the name of God Amen I John Carlill of Sawdon in the County of yorke yeoman sicke of body but perfect of memory praised be Allmighty God for it doe make and ordaine this my last will & Testament in manner and forme Followeinge that is to say First I Committ my soule into the hands of Allmighty God hopeing through the merritts of Jesus Christ to be saved And my body to be buried in the Church yearde of Brompton touchinge my worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to endue <me> with, I give and dispose them of as Followeth. Item I give to my sonne William the house and garth I now live in with two more oxgangs of Land be it more or lesse belonging to the same with all the appurtenances theireto belonging he paying unto the rest of my said Children two pounds and tenn shillings to each of them when they come to the age of one and twenty yeares. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth one bed which which [sic] was her owne mothers with a white bed theireto belonging All the Rest of my goods undisposed of I give unto my said Children Henry John Elizabeth and Anne whome I doe make Executors of this my last will and Testament, And I doe hereby make voyde all former wills and Legacies and that this my last will shall stand in full force and effect, And I doe appointe Thomas Carlill and Richard Casse both of Sawdon to be supervisors of this my Last will and Testament this sixteenth day of october in the yeare of our Lord god 1669 Witnesses Richard Casse Thomas Carlill.
