of Derby, Connecticut, d. 1705×7.
On 21 May 1675, the inhabitants of Derby granted George Beman a home lot containing four acres [Derby, CT Town Rec., 28]. For the next thirty years he appears frequently in the records of that town. His last known appearance is on 6 December 1705, when the town of Derby chose George Beeman as constable [Derby, CT Town Rec., 235].
Date of birth: Unknown.
Place of birth: Unknown.
Date of death: 6 December 1705 × 26 December 1707.
Place of death: Unknown.
As noted above, George Beaman was still alive on 6 December 1705. On 26 December 1707, a widow Beaman is mentioned in a vote about the seating arrangement in the pews of the church [Derby, CT Town Rec., 235]. Since no other Beamans are known to have been connected with the town, it is highly probable that this widow Beaman was George's widow.

d. 15 June 1724, rec. at Derby.
The marriage record does not give the name of George Beaman's bride ["George Beman was married Agust: 28: 1679, by mr. wm. Jons" Derby, CT Town Rec., 8]. Jacobus states that George Beaman married Mary Jackson, daughter of John Jackson [FANH 162, 935], but the evidence on which that is based is unclear.
